Adam-style

()()()()タイル(たいる)

Samraworld Dictionary

(1) Noun, Proper Noun

Referring to a type of design or decoration influenced by the Adam brothers' interior designs in the 1770s.  The Adam style provided a more flexible design compared to Georgian rooms, introducing excentric features such as curved walls and domes that were decorated with elaborate plasterwork. The ability to create new and interesting colors inexpensively at that time allowed the Adam's brothers to include unusually striking and vibrant shades to the rooms they designed.

アダム建築に影響を受けたデザインや装飾の一種を指す
